Covergirl Clean Fresh Yummy Gloss ($10.99 0.33 oz) is a new Hyaluronic Acid infused flavored sheer lipgloss that has a clean, vegan formula with a blend of naturally-derived Antioxidant Berries (Acai, Gogi and Black Elderberry) that launched for Spring 2023. These are available in three flavors which are berry, coconut, and pineapple.
I happen to love a glossy lip look! Always have, and always will! Even when I wear lipstick I’m topping it with clear gloss. I’ve never been a matte lipstick or lip color kind of girl! One of the things I absolutely love about Tiktok beauty zoomers is the fact they really appreciate a glossy lip look and really love lip oils of any kind. I’ve seriously never seen a generation that loved glossiness as much as I do! It feels great that finally, someone is in the same boat as me.
That being said, I picture Covergirl Clean Fresh Yummy Gloss as coming out strong for Spring 2023. It has the look, feel and finish of a gloss but the formula feels like a hydrating lip oil and I’m here for that.
Covergirl Clean Fresh Yummy Gloss arrives in an oversize barrel with a large sponge-tipped applicator that allows you to easily pack on a heaping amount of gloss. This applicator didn’t completely suck up the gloss. Have you ever gotten a sponge lipgloss applicator that barely applies product because it just completely absorbs the gloss? This doesn’t do that. It’s very easy to pack the gloss on! I love that. The tube contains 0.33 oz of product and is $11 bucks at Ulta. I think the retail price is a little high but the formula is good. That being said, you’ll likely get this for a lot less at places like Walmart and Target as it hits mass retailers. Ulta is always a bit higher retail price at compared to other stores.
I will absolutely buy this again but I’m pretty sure I don’t need to buy several shades as this is a sheer gloss and I have a feeling all the shades will look the same. I got the shade My Main Squeeze, a light peach that applies clearly. Although, the glosses come in three different flavors nowhere on the tube is it mentioned which flavor you’ll get. I THINK I got pineapple. I didn’t really like the taste as it’s a perfume-y fruity flavor but it does disappear after several minutes of wear.

Let’s talk shine! This is incredibly shiny! Super glossy! I love, love, love it. It has a balmy, thick texture that wasn’t tacky nor sticky and felt very soothing and hydrating on my dry lips. And did I mention how glossy it was? Yes, please and thank you! It also happens to wear quite long. My lips were pleasantly shiny for nearly four hours without eating or drinking!
All in all, Covergirl Clean Fresh Yummy Gloss is a win for me. This one has the finish of a gloss but the formula feels like a hydrating lip oil! I’m perfectly happy with the fact it applies clear as well since I can it over my favorite lipsticks. All in all, a great one if you like glossy lip looks!

The formula was thick, super glossy, and wore comfortably without being sticky or tacky. It has an oversized sponge applicator that allowed me to easily build the gloss on my lips for maximum shine. It is sheer so I didn’t get much color from it but the glossiness more than made up for that. I felt it was a hydrating formula that had the finish of a gloss but felt like a hydrating lip oil!
