Maybelline Lifter Gloss Lip Gloss Makeup With Hyaluronic Acid ($8.99 or Buy 1, Get 1 50% Off) is a new high-shine that give lips a fuller appearance that launched with the Maybelline Summer 2020 Collection.

I realize absolutely no one cares about lipgloss at the moment but one day, not sure when, we’ll all be able to wear it again! None the less when I saw Maybelline Lifter Gloss Lipgloss at Target I couldn’t resist grabbing a few shades as they quite looked lovely in the display. There are eight total shades available and many are really nice nudes for the Fall season (if at which point we can wear lipgloss that is).

Bravo Maybelline! This is such a great gloss. I dunno if I’m experiencing fuller lips over here after using this but the formula, the packaging, and the pricing all get a big thumbs up from me.

Maybelline Lifter Gloss Lip Gloss Makeup arrives in a square barrel with nude cap and a clear barrel. It’s a really elegant and rich looking packaging that feels very mid-range. The barrel holds 0.18 oz of gloss and the applicator is one of those extra large sponge applicator that saturated with the gloss very well!

I would dare and go so far as to say this is comparable to Fenty’s Gloss Bomb formula but a smidge thicker and a hell of a lot more pigmented. I know, I dared go there and no apologies are being made.

Maybelline Amber Lifter Gloss Lipgloss

This is a lightweight, creamy lipgloss with a subtle and very pleasant caramel vanilla flavor. It applies smoothly to lips with a high-shine finish and excellent pigmentation. It isn’t tacky nor sticky and the color looks smooth while providing very nice moisture to lips and remaining weightless and comfortable through the three hour wear I got from it. The formula relies on Hyaluronic Acid versus peppermint or cinnamon to produce a plumping effect. I wouldn’t say my lips looked any fuller when using it but the Hyaluronic Acid does seem to draw moisture to lips when wearing this as I felt like from start to finish my lips felt very nicely hydrated.

I was absolutely in lust with the shade range. It felt like they didn’t do a single wrong shade with this release. The nudes are beautiful and very wearable and some of the other shades are absolute stunners as well and give off a a MLBB feel (my lips but better).

All in all, Maybelline Lifter Gloss Lipgloss gets a solid A+ rating from me. These are affordable with a great formula, plenty of pigment, shine, and wear comfortably!

Big yay!

Pros

  • Beautiful packaging.
  • Feels a lot like Fenty’s Gloss Bomb formula.
  • Not tacky nor sticky.
  • Pigmented.
  • Moisturizing.

Cons

  • Contains flavor (subtle and pleasant but could be a problem for sensitive users).
  • Didn’t see much of a plumping effect.
