Hourglass Unreal High Shine Volumizing Lipgloss ($30) is a welcome addition to my lipgloss wardrobe this Summer. It’s been a hot minute since Hourglass graced our makeup collection with a new lipgloss formula the Unreal High Shine Volumizing Lipgloss arrives in 18 shades and 3 finishes with a formula that acts to provide shine, moisture, pigment, and volume to lips.
The formula contains but shea butter and avocado oil while Haluronic Acid acts to retain that moisture and plump up lips for a smooth, fuller looking lip!

Hourglass Unreal High Shine Volumizing Lip Gloss arrives in a sexy little tapered square barrel with a larger flexible paddle-shaped sponge applicator for application. Each gloss is 0.20 oz in size, $30 per shade, and available in cream, metallic, and shimmer finishes. All the shades have a super glossy finish!
In a sea of matte liquid lipsticks it’s nice to see a lot of glossier options the last several weeks! This formula is a hybrid lipgloss in my opinion and it’s a thicker, creamier texture with the pigment of a liquid lipstick but has the shine and glossiness plus the hydration of a lipgloss.
I felt like the formula was SUPER creamy, quite thick, yet lightweight and very wearable on my lips without moving around, migrating, or feathering. It almost has an oily, slicker feel when you smack your lips together and lacks any sticky or tacky feel yet still manages to adhere smoothly and flawlessly to lips for four hours. The color I choose, Canvas, is a pretty rose pink and provided intense pigment as well as plenty of shine. The color didn’t settle into my natural lip lines and had a smooth finish. There’s a minty flavor and fragrance here but the formula doesn’t have a sting that some plumping glosses are known for. I do think it gives my lips a fuller look but I attribute that to the thickness of the formula versus the ingredients. The most interesting aspect is the fact it hydrates well through the wear. I think certain glosses formula can offer nice moisture but it isn’t lasting and disappears rather quickly. This formula felt pleasantly hydrating through almost the entire wear. I think as I headed into hour four there was some shine and moisture loss but for the initial few hours my lips felt nourished and moist!

Hourglass Unreal High Shine Volumizing Lip Gloss isn’t cheap but well worth the indulgence as the formula is excellent with plenty of shine, moisture, and pigment!
Well worth picking up a shade or two in my opinion!

The glosses are 0.20 oz each and $30 per shade. This formula was thick, creamy, and had a slightly minty flavor and fragrance. I thought the formula was incredible! It feels very hydrating on my drier lips and provides lasting moisture through the four hour wear. It had a smooth, creamy texture that applied easily on my lips with a highly glossy finish and plenty of pigmentation on a single swipe. The color didn’t migrate nor move through the wear and kept my lips pleasantly moist and nourished.

Hourglass Unreal High Shine Volumizing Lipgloss is a fantastic pick for anyone who likes the pigment of a lipstick but the formula and shine of a lipgloss!
